Rick Wilson-Negron

Rick is a seasoned leader with a deep human resources and business background spanning over 20 years, demonstrating progressive expertise in industries such as telecom, media, technology and travel/tourism. Rick is dedicated to advancing an organization's most valuable asset—its people. 

 

In his most recent role as Chief People and Operations Officer at Destination Cleveland, Rick assumed a multifaceted responsibility that included overseeing all aspects of  human resources and business operations - benefits, technology, company policies, culture, employee engagement, learning, recruiting, talent development and more. His strategic vision and operational prowess contributed to the seamless functioning of the organization.

Rick also made significant contributions as a key leader on AT&T's human resources team. His impact was felt across various initiatives that not only advanced the business but also played a pivotal role in shaping the company's culture, placing a strong emphasis on diversity, equity and inclusion and winning multiple awards along the way.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Rick has actively engaged with communities in North Texas and Northeast Ohio. He served multiple terms on Resource Center’s board of directors, co-founded and led Disability:IN North Texas affiliate and is currently serving as the president elect for the Cleveland State University Alumni Association.

Rick's holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from John Carroll University and a master's degree in Human Resources and Labor Relations from Cleveland State University. These academic achievements underscore his dedication to continuous learning and professional development.

 

With a track record of leadership, strategic vision and a passion for fostering inclusive environments, Rick stands as an influential figure in both the business and community spheres, making a lasting impact on the organizations, communities and individuals he serves.
